2021 Centennial
May 17, 2021, was the 100th anniversary of Flamingo Park neighborhood's platting. Commemorative yard signs and T-shirts were produced and sold and informal gathering was held at the historic marker. Dozens (nearly 100?) residents, old and new, showed up at the appointed hour. Margie Yansura had made a birthday cake with a 100 candle on it, along with 100 pink cupcakes.
The general opinion was that "the grand lady" Flamingo Park is looking pretty good for a centenarian!
